Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha): Ashwagandha dried root is well known for its aphrodisiac properties. Plants containing bitter alkaloids ?Somniferin? are known to have a hypnotic property which reduces stress, which contributes to increased hypertension and possible diabetes. It has shown spermopiotic activity (Dr. D.N. Majumdar and P.C. Gupta, Barngales) in clinical studies. Withanolides 2.5% is a group of pharmacologically active compounds that are responsible for various activities of the Ashwagandha and infuses fresh energy and vigor ? a natural anti ageing ingredient.
AsphaItem (Shilajeet): Is a powerful tonic and alternative which is useful in the treatment of a variety of diseases, especially genitor-urinary and in diabetes (Andhra medical Journal). Fulvic acid is considered to be the active principal of this mineral and the dose is standardized to contain NLT 50% Fulvic acid.
Asparagus Officinals (Safedmusli): Vigro Herb? contains a group of pharmacologically active compounds called Asparagosides, containing estrogen like activity, and have been used in the treatment of infertility and sterility.
Asparagur Racemouse (Shatavari): Contains the active ingredient Shtavarins which have similar properties estrogens. It contains Shatavarin-I which is basically the steroid Sapoins. Sapoin mixture from the alcoholic extract of the drug was found pharmacologically active in blocking both in spontaneous and acetylcholine induced abortion.
Ashoka (Ashoka, Gandhapushpa): A small, orange-yellow evergreen tree. The bark has a stimulating effect on the endometrium and ovarian tissue, and has a hemorrhagic property, useful in preventing internal bleeding.
Lodh Tree (Lodhra): An evergreen tree or shrub with dark green leaves. The astringent bark is used for the treatment of dysentery and liver complaints. It is recommended for the treatment of menorrhagia and other uterine disorders.

Saffron (Kesar): Contains three crystalline matters:
a- Crocetin 0.7%
b- Crocetin 0.7%
c- Crocetin 0.3% (Chopra?s I.D. of 1?PP 317)
It also contains volatile fatty oil 8 to 13.4% & Crocin, a Glucoside slightly soluble in water. This herb is well known for its aphrodisiac and stimulant properties. Its aphrodisiac virtue is probably due to the slight stimulation of the central nervous system which is common in all
essential oils. This herb is known to be very useful for seminal debility & anemia.
Mucuira Prurient (Kaunch Bee): This is recognized as one of the best aphrodisiac & nervine tonics. In Ayurveda, this herb is used for spermopiotic activity. In vivo studies it has shown testosterone like qualities. The herbs contain dopamine lecithin and manganese. It also contains a number of alkaloids like mucunin and pruridin.
Myristica officinalis (Jaiphal): Volatile oil contained in this herb contains 4.8% myristicin, the active ingredient of the herb. The herb has an aromatic odor and has stimulant properties, as well as anesthetic action on the C.N.S.
Clove (Laung): Contains a heavy volatile oil 16 to 20% Couphor resin 6% oil distilled from cloves. This contains Engenol 85%-92%, which acts as a local anesthetic.
